This long-term photographic project takes isolated moments of gradual collapse within a series of cup subjects and superimposes those images over top one another to communicate movements of change over time within a still image.
These images are applying notions of transparency as a visual tactic in layering visual information of a glass object undergoing a cycle of transformation over top of each other several times. The effect subtly emulates the psychedelic experience of observing trails of varying lengths and opacity left behind by an object’s passage through space.
